Originally from the creative hub of Daylesford in rural Victoria, he moved to Queensland with his family when he was still at school. He developed a passion for photography, after taking an elective subject while studying a Bachelor of applied science in Human Movement Studies at QUT. While learning on an old Minolta film camera he developed basic theory, skills and knowledge.
After quite a while away from an SLR camera due to the advent of the digital age, as well as smart phones, the passion was reignited prior to the birth of his oldest son Riley in 2013. It was here he fell in love with photography again and with creating photo's for his family and friends, while on adventures and holidays. As it happens, most of the trips included the ocean and living in Queensland near the Gold Coast, it made combining this new found purpose, with the existing love for the natural world, an easy fit.
Over the last few years he has refined his craft and developed an obsession with showcasing this world, particularly the ocean, obsessing over everything water, from the reflections through to the collisions. With thousands of these moments happening everyday Chris hopes to bring a sample of these often missed moments to your day.
We hope you enjoy
